Traffic before and during the First May holidays

On Friday, 25 April and even more on Wednesday, 30 April, the increase of traffic is expected in the direction towards tourist sites, in particular from Ljubljana towards Gorenjska and Primorska and from Austria and Italy towards Croatia. Traffic will be increased more than usual also at border crossing points with Croatia; according to experiences, mostly at Dragonja border crossing point.

On Sunday, 4 May, traffic will be increased in the opposite direction, from Primorska and Gorenjska towards Ljubljana and from Croatia towards Italy and Austria.
On those days, traffic jams are expected at border crossing points with Croatia for entering Slovenia. In particular  at Dragonja and Sečovlje border crossing points.

The most burdened direction will be the motorway between Ljubljana and Koper,

On Wednesday, 30 April, increased goods transport is expected, in particular from Hungary towards Italy. 

In Slovenia, driving restrictions on the goods vehicles exceeding 7.5 tons apply on:

- 1 May between 8:00 and 21:00
- 2 May between 8:00 and 21:00
- 4 May between 8:00 and 21:00
