Expressway H5 and H6 has become part of the main road in January 2026

From January 1, 2026, an electronic vignette will not be required for driving between the Škofije and Izola border crossings. Expressway H5 has become part of the main road G1-11, and H6 has become part of the main road G2-111.

Article 46 of the Road Traffic Rules Act sets the maximum allowed driving speeds according to each road category. Since expressways H5 and H6 have been reclassified as main roads G1-11 and G2-111, the maximum allowed driving speed in accordance with the Road Traffic Rules Act is 90 km/h.
